Our Team

Mike Bateman
CEO
​Mike oversees Alliance Housing’s housing functions, maintains a working partnership with the government, stays in touch with the needs of people who need assistance, and provides strategic direction to the board of management. He previously worked for 28 years for the state housing authority, spent eight years as a regional manager in the South West, and managed the Government Employees Housing Association in Perth. Mike is a member of a number of committees dealing with a wide range of issues confronting the community housing sector.

Kay Shaw
Business Manager

Kay looks after Alliance Housing’s finance and budgeting, as well as overseeing the general operations. She is responsible for day to day financing, longer term financial planning, project planning, and the oversight of business operations. She previously worked for 22 years in a management role at a private accounting practice in the UK, where she was involved with audits, financial planning, company and personal taxation concerns.

Shirley Wood
Administrative Assistant
Shirley deals with reception and is the first point of contact for daily phone calls and counter enquiries. Shirley carries out general administrative duties, and provides assistance to staff, board members and special projects when required.

Rachel Davies
Tenancy Officer
Rachel works closely with tenants to keep properties to an acceptable standard. Alongside the other tenancy officer, Rachel liaises with contractors to ensure maintenance is carried out in a timely manner. She has previously worked for housing departments in the Pilbara and Queensland, as well as for Centrelink.

Jenna Dewar
Tenancy Officer
Jenna ensures that both the tenant’s and Alliance Housing’s responsibilities are carried out. Jenna has 16 years prior experience in property management.

Alliance Housing is an independent and sustainable Community Housing Provider, working in conjunction with the residential tenancies act and priding ourselves on providing high quality housing services to our clients in the South West of Western Australia.
