Gary has been a registered Builder from 1987 to 2023. Gary has been involved in the South West building industry since 1981, in the capacity of Site Manager for several major building companies from Bunbury. These include CALM Complex in Manjimup, South West Sports Centre, Dalyellup College Stage 2, Mandurah Greenfields Shopping Centre and many others.

Gary and his wife have been registered as Foster Carers since 1989 and in 2017 were awarded the ‘Order of Australia’ medals for their contribution to ‘Children in Care as Foster Carers’.

Gary retired in 2021 and continues to enjoy his role in Foster Care and playing golf at the local Golf Club.
