The Donnybrook Bridge Street Housing Project is now complete, with the final two units of the complex officially completed on May 2.

The lucky new tenants of the homes had been selected prior to construction and were so excited to move in the very next day.

One of the new tenants said she loved her unit and thefact she can now be close to her daughter.

The other, said she is loving living in Donnybrook, describing her new home as a ‘god send’, after being forced out of the private rental she had been in for 10 years.

Alliance Housing chief executive Kay Shaw said it was wonderful to see the whole project now complete, with all units occupied with happy tenants.

“When we first planned this housing complex, there was only enough funding for the original 10 units, but we always hoped to be able to build another two in the future,” she said.

“These two, two-bedroom units were funded through the WA State Government’s Social Housing Economic Recover Package grant funding,which we are very grateful for.”
