Donnybrook’s $3.25 million Bridge Street Housing Project is on track, with completion expected early next year.
Smith Constructions continues to work hard to deliver the project with Alliance Housing currently seeking expressions of interest from those aged 65 and over living in the area.
Alliance Housing chief executive Kay Shaw said she was eager to hear from seniors living in the Donnybrook-Balingup area needing fit-for-purpose accommodation next year.
“We are extremely proud of this project and can’t wait to welcome the first residents in the new year,” she said.
“We are still taking details from eligible applicants and look forward to working with them in the coming months.”
Smith Constructions site manager Shane Jackson said the project was progressing well for handover in February 2023.
“The complex is really starting to take shape, all units will be at lockup stage prior to Christmas, earthworks for the roads and kerbs are underway along with paving and final landscaping will happen in January,” he said.
The project is supported by the State Government through the Regional Aged Accommodation Program.
