Alliance Housing hosted its September tenant forum on a beautiful spring morning, bringing participants together for a hands-on workshop and a chance to connect with others in the community.

The event welcomed Tiffany from Bunnings Warehouse, who guided everyone through creating their own hanging terrariums while enjoying morning tea.

Alliance Housing chief executive Kay Shaw said the event was a fantastic success, with attendees enjoying the chance to meet new people, develop a practical new skill and take inspiration for activities to try at home.

Tiffany shared tips on layering pebbles and soil, transferring Hypoestes plants and caring for them at home, giving the group the chance to create something they could take home and enjoy.

Everyone also put their fine motor skills to the test by making their own macrame plant hangers, with plenty of laughs along the way as they worked through the knots.

As one participant put it: “It was great to learn something new.”
