Alliance Housing were lucky enough to have a visit from the Minister for Housing John Carey and the Minister for Disability Services Don Punch on Friday 8thJuly 2022. During their visit Alliance Housing had the opportunity to discuss the great work community housing is doing throughout the South West using the SHERP Grants and other funding opportunities that are available as part of the McGowan Government’s investment in housing.
Alliance Housing WA has successfully secured 23 grants, with a total value of around $2.5 million.
During their visit, John Carey was particularly touched to hear a perspective from one of our community housing tenants, and how Alliance Housing’s work is centered on meeting the needs of our tenants and how this builds connection, trusting relationships, and community.
This is ultimately what community housing is all about.
