We provide an after-hours maintenance service for Alliance Housing WA Tenants for emergencies only but some of our Tenants/Residents have told us that they do not know the emergency out of hours maintenance phone number. The phone number to call in the event that emergency or urgent repairs are required outside of office hours is 9788 1131. This service is available from 4.00pm to 8.00am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.
Urgent and emergency repairs means an immediate threat to safety or to the health of a person, or exposing the property to serious damage.
Some examples of emergency or urgent repairs may include
· Agas leak
· A burst water pipe, damaged water fitting or fixture that is causing a large amount of water to be wasted
· Loss of electricity, gas or water supply
· Property not being secure (risk of break-in)
· Serious storm, fire or flooding damage
· Faulty smoke alarms
· Broken or blocked toilet (if only one toilet on the property)
· Faulty RCD’s
· Any serious fault or issue that causes the property to not be safe or secure.
If you report an emergency or urgent out of hours situation, please make sure that someone will be home to allow the contractors access to attend to the repairs.
Please note that in some emergency situations that are reported after hours, a temporary repair may be made to make the property safe and secure until a permanent repair can be made during normal working hours.
If you report an emergency situation that could have reasonably waited until the next working day or if you have allowed a routine situation to turn into an emergency by not reporting it sooner, you may be charged for the cost of the repair.
